Stepping out on faith becoming a full-time entrepreneur is a lot, especially if you want a successful growing business. Pictures and videos shows the happy parts, but behind closed doors, you’re faced with new challenges everyday.
I take it as preparing me for the next level to become bigger, but there are times where it’s overwhelming, especially when you’re a parent, working on more than one business, sometimes working from 7am to 11 pm, skipping meals because you want everything perfect and to meet your consumers expectations, putting in work when you feel restless, etc., but I wouldn’t change anything at all. I’ll rather be booked, busy, and growing a successful business, than having a business with no motion. My favorite part of the day is packaging the orders and dropping at the post office lol. It’s like a breathe of fresh air, literally 😩
Literally I remember having days with no orders, no sales, trying to figure out where I went wrong, praying to God to help me grow my business. To getting over 30+ in one day, then 40 the next, to not being able to keep up. I had to also pray to be able to fulfill those orders in a timely manner and to do the best of my ability. It’s beautiful artwork, it’s beautiful to experience, but let me say this, behind the scene, it’s not so pretty lol.
There’s plenty of times I stop and have to take a second to get myself together, sometimes I have to put on calming music, but I don’t stop and I do my best, literally put my all into my craft. Some days, I be wanting to throw the towel in because it’s getting the best of me. I had to figure out ways to make the process go smooth, how to fulfill orders, having enough inventory, meeting expectations. Of course, waiting on feedback from consumers is always interesting, I'm always anxious to hear about the entire experience from searching, to purchasing, to shipping process, and receiving. Babyyy, it’ll definitely have you on your toes. But at the end of the day, when I call it a night, I feel so happy about it all. I’m turning my dreams into reality, all my goals coming to fruition, learning as I go. I'm super proud of myself and those around me and with me to help me on this journey.
My words to anyone waiting, “start, start working towards your dreams, you’ll never know what can happen”. How bad do you want? How hard are you willing to work? Stay consistent, with or without support, build, and take all the lessons and experiences and grow. Anything is possible, literally!
Think about it, plan it out, and start. As you progress, celebrate yourself for all the hard work because once again, it’s not easy.
5 years from now will tell if you’re really working or just sleeping on yourself.
